How do I prepare black tea?

Step #1

  • Bring fresh water to a rolling boil (203-212 degrees F)

Step #2

  • Measure 1 teaspoon of tea for each 8 oz serving

Step #3

  • Combine water & tea in your favorite cup with a tea infuser or teapot and let steep for 4-5 minutes for the fullest flavor

Used on mostly Indian black teas, the letters describe the leaf size and visual qualities of the processed leaves. It has little to do with the tastes or flavor profile of the tea. In general, the higher quality leaf will most likely give you full flavor tea.
